Every Girl Should Get to Drive a Bentley

So real quick guys: My weekend was amazing. I feel so blessed to have been able to spend an amazing birthday with some really amazing people! I didn't take any pictures (I know, I'm a shitty blogger) so I'll steal a few from some others :)

You can tell by the chip in my hand and the look on my face, I was in rare form by this point in the night...

Anyways, on to my main point. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I get the question, "How did you get so lucky to get a guy like Jude?" "When will I find someone like that?" Well I'm about to tell you my secret, my code, my rules. Jude and I have been dating for exactly 47 months today ;) 4 years next month! I am beyond blessed to have him, but it is not luck that I got him. First, think of men like cars, now here is how you can get your "perfect guy".

1) There are certain standard features that should come in every car man. They should always pay for everything when you start dating, and they should still offer to pay for everything no matter how long you've been dating. However, there comes a certain point where it's totally okay for a girl to treat her guy and to pay for her own stuff. But in the beginning this is standard. Kind of like airbags. I love when girls are like "he's the best, he pays for like everything, he wont even let me think about paying." and I'm like... umm your point? that's like saying "OMG guys my car is AWESOME! it has airbags!" Standard.

2) I want a car man that isn't just standard. I want luxury. Everyone deserves the Bentley  the "perfect man". Your man should be a gentleman. If you can't tell your dad every single thing about them, don't even think about wasting your time.

3) More importantly if you wouldn't trust your future children to take a ride in the car be raised by this man don't even waste your time.

4) If you don't want your future daughter to date someone who drove this car who acts this exact same way, don't waste your time.

5) If your car is going down the shitter man isn't going anywhere in life, why try to change them?

6) Remember no car man is ever "perfect" just like us, they have their kinks. We have to learn to accept the little things. So your car is kinda loud man snores? And maybe it he is kinda messy? These are acceptable losses. We can deal with these things. Sometimes our cars have to be taken in for a tune up, and sometimes our men have to be reminded we like to hear we're beautiful 6 times a day ;)

7) Don't date a party animal, just asking for trouble. I mean would you drive a party bus around all the time?

8) Date someone who has a good relationship with God and/or is spiritual. If they don't have this, they will never be able to love you like we need to be loved. God and spirit is what teaches us how to love, I mean really love. Without it we are incapable of true love.

9) And seriously, don't worry about how a guy looks on the outside, because 10 years from now, every car  man ages. What matters, is the engine, motor, transmission, and brakes heart, brain, personality, and soul.

10) Take care of your car. Wash it, dry it, clean it, and don't speed in it. man. Appreciate them, do what they like every once in a while, cook for them sometimes, show them you love them.

11) Finally, love someone who would love you if you gained a 100 pounds. My car would still drive my ass around if I gained a 100 pounds. It might have to chug a little harder up the hills but it would still tote me around ;)

So find your Bentley, and dump your Ford Pinto. Because damn girl. you deserve it!

(By the way, I have no idea what kind of car a Ford Pinto is, I just googled worst cars ever made lol)

PS I think Jude is a million times better than a Bentley ;)

Weigh In Wedneday

So I have a lot of things to catch y'all up on. I haven't talked about my weight or running in a long time. Way back in August I talked about how I was going to start a 10 week program called Couch to 5K. I have never been a runner and I never really planned on becoming one. But here I am 6 weeks into the program, and I am so proud to say I have stuck to it!

Today I will be running 13 minutes and walking for 5 minutes. I don't think I have ever run over 7 minutes, and here I am at 13. I'm not going to lit it's really hard for me. I get really bored and just start thinking about how many minutes I have left so I don't know how I will be as my time keeps growing, but I will stick to it! Now on to my weight...

I also posted in August about how I wanted to loose 10 pounds by the end of October. I'm not really on track for that, and to be honest I'm okay with that. Way back a year and a half ago when I started my weight loss journey I made an "ultimate goal". I am currently at my "ultimate goal" and I thought I wanted to loose 10 more pounds. But now that I'm here I think I'm happy. Since I've been running my legs have seriously toned up, I'm eating healthy, and my clothes fit really well. I don't think I want to loose those 10 pounds anymore but I want to change my fat to muscle now and just tone. Here are my progress pictures again for those of you who haven't seen them.
Since my birthday is Saturday I don't plan on eating anything healthy this weekend and I'm totally okay with that :)

Have any of you made a goal and then realized that goal isn't right for you?

Have a great Hump Day! Love you guys!

Don't let me become THAT mom....

So every Monday and Wednesday I drop the boo boo off at preschool and every single time I see something even more interesting than the last. All's I can say is, please don't ever let me become that mom.

I know I'm not a mom right now, and maybe I'll think differently when I actually become a mom. But dear God I hope not. And I know I've said I don't judge people, but when I say that I mean by their looks. However, I am completely guilty of judging people by their attitudes.

Don't let me become that mom who:
-Pulls up in her Chevy Tahoe and thinks she's hot stuff but then gets out in yoga pants with granny panties on (okay I guess maybe that was judging someones looks:) ) But mainly that just makes me angry because they think they're hot.

-Talks to their kids like they don't understand English... you know the ones. Say this in a really high pitch slow obnoxious voice: "Hiiiii honey! How was preschool today? Were you a good little boy? I hope you were!" Oh my lord stop please all these kids can talk like a normal person by now, they aren't babies.

-Stares at younger people picking up (like me who happens to be their aunt) like they are complete trash because you think they are too young to have kids. Excuse me but even if these were my kids I would make a hell of a lot better mother than you.

-Gets in arguments with the teacher for absolutely no reason. Come on they're just doing their job, and you're making a fool out of yourself.

-Has the kid who is always misbehaving. ugh that is the worst!

Thanks for listening to my rant :) As always, have a great day! Love y'all!

I Pray...

I'm about to get a little sappy on y'all, and I'm sorry for that, but sometime ya gotta do what ya gotta do :)

-I can joke about how being a nanny for my two little nephews can be a pain in my you know where sometimes but truthfully, from the bottom of my heart, it is such a blessing. 4 years and roughly one month ago my sister handed me a bag and said she had a gift for me. As I opened it and saw two little baby shoes I couldn't even form words, I could only cry. They were tears of joy of course. I had always dreamed of having a little baby niece or nephew running around, and because my sister and I are so close, I knew they would be like my little babies. So nine months passed, and this happened.

-I loved seeing her grow and grow. I loved feeling the sweet baby boy kick and move. I couldn't wait to meet him and see what his face looked like. April 3rd, 2010 was the day our family changed forever, for the better.

-Tayte Jonathon Steffen, the first and the craziest. My Godson, and my angel. I love you so much.

-Next came a little girl. My brother and sister-in-law announced they were having a little girl in April of 2011. God blessed our family with another addition the next year.
-Sweet baby Bryn Irene, you are full of sass and spunk and boss those boys around like it's your job... I couldn't be more proud :) I love you so much!

-Next comes my little angel.

-My blonde haired, blue eyes, kind hearted, little baby. I love you so much!

-Finally, little miss/mr no-name :)
- Due to arrive February 4th 2014 :) I love you much, and I haven't even met you.

Prayers:
-I pray you are all close to Jesus
-I pray you find true happiness in life
-I pray you find a soul-mate who really does make your heart happy
-I pray you enjoy every moment in life, the simple pleasures
-I pray you never find yourself in a dark place, and if you do you always know there are so many people who love you
-I pray you stay healthy
-I pray you always stay little dreamers
-I pray you always stay little fighters
-I pray that time slows down, just a little bit
-I pray you live with no regrets
-I pray that someday you realize, I am your real aunt and without me you wouldn't have Jude ;)
-Most of all, I pray that there is never a moment (a graduation, a wedding, a birth of a child) where we look at each other and feel distant. I want you to always feel close to me, and know you can always come to me.

To all of my sweet babies: I love you all, even if sometimes you can all scream, cry, break things, and drive me crazy. This time is precious, and I want to enjoy it.

Dont Judge ;)

Hey everyone!! I'm doing a brand new link up today with one of my favorite girls Liz!! If you're not already following her, you should definitely go check her out at Fitness Blondie! If you're new to my blog, welcome welcome welcome! Check out my About Me page! You'll understand me so much better:)
\The Hump Day Blog Hop

So for todays hump day blog hop I'm doing a weekend recap... I know, I know y'all are like "umm it's Wednesday?" And I'm like... don't judge ;) And then you're like "can you stop saying like?" Okay, I'll stop... I guess :) Here we go!

Last week was a rough one. The kiddos were crazy and I think they teamed together and did everything in their power to make me rip my hair out. I got this look from Tayte when I told him to pick up his toys...

ohhh...if looks could kill

Sooo, needless to say dinner with wine was much needed with Jude on Friday night.
By the way, I make the best damn panini's ever. I swear I was adopted and am actually Italian.
To get even more of my aggression out after my long week, I started my Saturday off with this...
No better way to relieve some stress then to go shoot some shit. And by shit I mean paper targets :)

So after that happened we went to Jude's Dad's house to watch the Hawkeye game and they actually won!! His sister, Kate, was home from college so we made it extra fun with some s'mores and oldies music, besides me having to be around the stupid cat. For those of you who don't know, I'm scared shitless of cats and I'm actually allergic to them, well Randy has a cat (which Kate is OBSESSED with) and for some reason this dumb cat is OBSESSED with me. UGH!

PS you guys know that it's called a s'more because you always want some more, right? Because apparently Kate and Jude didn't know that...I thought everyone knew that? And I'm the blonde...
To hear more about Kate, Jude and I check out http://find-the-silverlining.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-story-of-us.html

Of course on Sunday we ended with some football. Unfortunately, we watched our Vikings loose again, but they put up a good fight against the Bears. And, we really don't mind the Bears. Even more disappointing, however, was seeing the Packers win...YUCK!! There's always next week!

Love y'all!!! Have a fabulous day and a great rest of the week! YOU CAN DO IT!! By the way this song is stuck in my head right now and I find it appropriate for Wednesday, enjoy!
