This past weekend my family and I headed to St. Louis for the weekend! I love St Louis because it is literally the perfect size and has the friendliest people! We had a blast! We spent most of our time at pubs or at two Cardinals games... in which they lost at both games (lets not talk about it ;) Anyways, it was a great trip! Here are my favorite photos from the trip!

DIY Canvas Print
Hey guys! Happy hump day! we're almost there! I absolutely love this DIY project, it's definitely up there with my favorite :) It's really easy and I always get great results! Lets get started!
1) Get whatever picture you want and order it in the size you would like as well. I ordered a print from my local Wall Mart in 8x12 size. For my upcoming ones I will probably go bigger though. This should cost less than 4$
2) Then you want to cut whatever type of wood you want down to the same size as your photo. I bought the cheapest wood I could find and then had my dad saw it down to 8x12
3) Here's the other supplies you need, plus a few brushes!
4) First, I painted the edges of the wood black with just some regular paint so it would look more like a canvas
5) Then you add the Mod Podge onto the back of your picture and the part of the wood that you're going to place your picture on
6) Put the picture on the wood, it should stick because of the Mod Podge
7) Once it is dry and doesn't move when you touch it anymore you can take the Mod Podge and do long light brush strokes across the face of your picture. This gives it that canvas look. I usually do this step 2 times and wait until it dries between each step. Do it in opposite directions the two times you do it. This just adds to the canvas look even more.
8) Once everything is dry you can spray a light coat of the Satin Clear Seal on top of the picture. This gives the canvas a shinny look and it protects it from water or other damage!
Walah! You just made yourself an awesome looking canvas!

Vacation Recap!
Okay..I know it's been forever since I've blogged. Vacation in Florida was AMAZING and now I'm preparing to turn around and go to St. Louis. I know, I'm crazy. Oh well, who doesn't love to travel? I had every intention to blog while I was in Florida, but the hotels WiFi was absolute crap and I didn't want to waste 20 minutes uploading a picture. So I guess I'll have to make it up to you guys! I'll let my pictures do the talking!
| The only time it rained the whole time we were at the beach was right when we got to Daytona... 15 minutes later it was done :) Thank you Jesus! |
